چکیده

We study a number of well-motivated theories modified gravity with the common overarching theme that they predict existence compact objects such as black holes and wormholes endowed scalar hair. compute shadow radius resulting demonstrate hole images M87$^*$ or more recent SgrA$^*$ by Einstein Horizon Telescope (EHT) collaboration may provide powerful way to constrain deviations metric functions from what is expected general relativity (GR) solutions. focus our attention on Einstein-scalar-Gauss-Bonnet (EsGB) theory three well motivated couplings, including dilatonic $Z_2$ symmetric cases. then analyze in contest spontaneous scalarization scenario within EsGB an additional coupling Ricci (EsRGB). Finally, we turn Einstein-Maxwell-Scalar (EMS) impact parameters shadow. Our results show imaging important tool for constraining hair some part parameter space, solutions be marginally favoured compared GR.

Black Hole Formation from Massive Scalar Fields

It is shown that there exists a range of parameters in which gravitational collapse with a spherically symmetric massive scalar field can be treated as if it were collapsing dust. This implies a criterion for the formation of black holes depending on the size and mass of the initial field configuration and the mass of the scalar field. Spinning Down A Black Hole With Scalar Fields

The conventional view of black hole evaporation is that, regardless of its initial state, Hawking radiation will cause a black hole to approach an uncharged, zero angular momentum state long before all its mass has been lost. Thus, as the evolution nears the Planck scale, where quantum gravity will be required to determine its future development, the final asymptotic state is assumed to be desc...

Probing the BTZ black hole with test fields

We introduce a set of scalar fields as test fields to study the dynamical behaviors of the BTZ(Banados-Teitelboim-Zanelli) black hole. These include minimally coupled scalar, conformally coupled scalar, dilaton, and tachyon. To calculate the decay rate of the BTZ black hole, we consider both the Dirichlet boundary condition at spatial infinity and the stability condition. It turns out that the ...

Probing scalar tensor theories for gravity in Redshift-Space

We present measurements of the spatial clustering statistics in redshift space of various scalar field modified gravity simulations. We utilise the two-point and the three-point correlation functions to quantify the spatial distribution of dark matter halos within these simulations and thus discern between the models. We compare ΛCDM simulations to various modified gravity scenarios and find co...

Applicability of the Newman-Janis Algorithm to Black Hole Solutions of Modified Gravity Theories

The Newman-Janis algorithm has been widely used to construct rotating black hole solutions from non-rotating counterparts. While this algorithm was developed within General Relativity, it has more recently been applied to non-rotating solutions in modified gravity theories. We find that the application of the Newman-Janis algorithm to an arbitrary non-GR spherically-symmetric solution introduce...
